As would be expected when the 24 of the best fantasy footballers in the world are placed within two leagues in the WCOFF Invitational League format, good matchups are inevitable. Add in a new playoff format for the WCOFF Invitational Leagues where the top 8 teams are placed in a bracket style race to the finish and the result is compelling fantasy football beginning Week 12.

One of the highlights of the World Championship of Fantasy Football event in Las Vegas was the Celebrity League Draft. Twelve celebrity players – such as basketball legends John Salley and Gary Payton, actor Bill Bellamy, poker player Dennis Phillips, and many others.

The Carolina Panthers ground game continues to amaze. Even with quarterback Jake Delhomme struggling mightily, DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart tore up the Lions for 250 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Detroit knew the run was coming . . . and yet the Lions could not stop it. Williams had 14 carries for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He has piled up three consecutive 100-yard games.
Stewart, on the mend from nagging heel and toe injuries, got 15 carries for 130 yards and one TD.

So it's the middle of November 2008. We are just a few hours away from the NY Jet vs. New England Patriot game that kicks off week 11 of the NFL season. This is the last chance for WCOFF teams to position themselves to make it into their league championship games. This is also the last week for waiver wire pick ups and final team adjustments. For some, this part of the season is thrilling given the potential to win the WCOFF main event and all that comes with it. For the rest of us (raise your hand with me), it's a time to reflect on what went wrong with our teams and to start thinking about 2009.

Last week we focused on players to help fill in on the bye weeks. We hit on both TE's (Miller and Olsen), QB JT O'Sullivan and WR Antwaan Randle El. We also missed badly on Selvin Young (4.9 pts). The others ended up somewhere in the middle (Chris Perry, Trent Edwards, and Josh Reed) This week we will spotlight two players at each position which we think will have a solid week. (1 under performing player, and 1 breakout player.)
